A diet rich in anti-inflammatory foods and high in fibre, along with limiting processed food and red meat can help you, managing your endometriosis symptoms. taking foods / supplements rich in omega-3 fatty acids, fruits, vegetables, and whole grains can also be beneficial.

What food should you include in your diet ?

  • OMEGA – 3 FATTY ACIDS – found in fatty fish like sardines, tuna or salmon etc , also found in walnuts , chia seeds and flaxseeds.
  • FRUITS AND VEGETABLES : provides vitamins , minerals, antioxidants and fiber.
  • WHOLE GRAINS: they provide the necessary fiber and nutrients , which helps in regulating estrogen.
  • IRON RICH FOOD – BROCCOLI, BEANS , DARK GREEN LEAFY VEGETABLES , FORTIFIED BEANS
  • NUTS AND SEEDS
  • LEGUMES: Chickpeas and lentils
  • ANTI-OXIDANT RICH FOOD: colourful fruits like berries, beets, spinach
  • VITAMIN D

What food should be avoided ?

  • RED MEAT .
  • TRANS FAT- found in processed foods, deep fried foods, bakery products .
  • processed / packed food items.
  • CAFFIENE and ALCOHOL.
  • DAIRY – some individuals with endometriosis might experience increased pain after dairy consumption.
  • GLUTEN- some females have observed relief in symptoms following a gluten- free diet.
